I have always stated
my views with great firmness and finality. Once, in fact, while I was
teaching Sunday School classes the wife of the minister said to me something
like "It is obvious that you know very little about theology but
you speak with such conviction and firmness that every one believes
that you do". In my moments alone with myself I cannot argue greatly
with that conclusion. However I am not alone. I have recently discovered
that there are others who share my trait of being sometimes wrong with
fervor. As below:

become much less a theme for either poetry or analysis. Much of the
romanticism and all of the hypochondria on the subject will be over.

I guess that is about
enough, but it does go to show that I am not the only one who says things
forcefully that don't turn out that way. Nice to have company and it
is the only sin I have left.
