Inyúdlio
Mânathàm Arabakelêt
March 15, 2001, dawned
as any other day might but soon revealed itself to be far different
from its peers. Around noon, BUTCH began to act like a cat with a headful
of catnip, lashing her tail and rushing at imaginary--or seemingly so--enemies
or meals, one could not tell which. At three o'clock in the afternoon,
she twitched in rhythms interpreted by That Which Provides Food to mean,
"Put down the pen and paper and get a tape recorder. NOW."
That Which complied without question, as her eyes had begun to glow
orange and cobalt in rapid alternation. As soon as he returned, sat
down, and clicked on the ancient machine, BUTCH opened her mouth. As
she spoke, he was stricken dumb. The following is a transcription of
her only known vocalizations to date. No claims, either express or implied,
are made regarding their significance.
